Our Story
How it started. Why we're still here.
A Greene Fixture Since '96
Doris opened the shop at 950 Route 12 in 1996. One chair, a simple idea: give people in Greene a place to get a good haircut without driving to Binghamton. She built it from nothing and kept it running for nearly three decades.
Jenna started as a client, became Doris's right hand, and eventually took over the chair. When Doris stepped back, Jenna stepped up — keeping the same standards, the same walk-in policy, and the same no-nonsense approach that made the shop what it is.
The name stays on the door because this will always be the shop Doris built. Jenna just makes sure it keeps going the way Doris would want it to. She sometimes brings the shop dog — a basset hound who's become part of the experience.
How We Got Here
Doris Opens the Doors
Doris opens a barber shop at 950 Route 12 in Greene. One chair, no frills — just a good barber who cared about doing it right.
Jenna Takes the Chair
Jenna came in as a client, learned the ropes from Doris, and eventually took over. Families and kids especially love her patience and her cuts.
Doris's Legacy Lives On
The name stays because the shop is still what Doris built. Jenna keeps her standards — walk-ins welcome, every cut done right, no shortcuts.
How We Work
Every Cut Counts
No shortcuts. You get the same attention whether you're the first client of the day or the last.
No Rush Jobs
Your cut takes as long as it takes. We don't push you out the door to squeeze in one more.
Your Style, Your Call
Tell us what you want. We'll give honest advice, but the final say is always yours.
